It is hard to believe that Amelia is 4 months old. It is after 10 pm, and the puppy is in her crate laying down and not making a sound, except when she is finding another spot to lay down. She has also been in the crate during the day. I didn't know how much it would help with house training until she spent time in the crate. She is still feisty as ever, and she has quite the personality. She still needs to learn how to go on walks properly, and she still has her baby teeth or shark teeth. On the hot days it can be difficult to get her exercise, so we play fetch inside. I roll the tennis ball from one side of the living room to the other end of the dining room. I use little dog treats, and she only gets a treat if she brings the ball back to me. We usually play fetch until she loses interest in getting the tennis ball. We still need to work on her barking. She probably barks more at my dinner time. If she gets to be too much, I will put her in her crate. She calms down, and I can eat my food. One thing I find terribly interesting is that she likes hair rubber bands. If I am wearing my hair in a ponytail, she will want to get the rubber band out of my hair and play with it. I know she needs to be broken with that trick. I'm sure others won't enjoy the puppy standing behind them and messing up their hair just for the rubber band.
